The Austin Chapter of CPAs is offering a free class on October 7 for nonprofit staff, board members and anyone else interested in improving their nonprofit financial literacy skills. Attendees will learn how to read nonprofit financial statements, proper internal controls to mitigate fraud risk, what donors and the IRS look for on the Form 990 and how to avoid pitfalls with taxable income. The class is free, but space is limited, so you must RSVP to attend.
