The Austin Chapter of CPAs offers free financial literacy classes for the community. Katy Avenson will be one of the presenters for the upcoming nonprofit class on February 25. The class is a great opportunity for board members, new nonprofit staff and others to learn how to read nonprofit financial statements, mitigate against fraud, interpret the 990 and recognize potential threats to exempt status.
